Welcome

Founded in 2005 in a college dorm room at Delaware Valley College, Rogue-Reptiles owes its name to DelVal College Security, who referred to the occasionally wandering pets of students as “rogue reptiles.” Unbeknownst to them, I owned many of these so-called rogue reptiles—but thankfully, I was never discovered by campus security, despite their efforts. By the time I graduated in 2008, I had a total of fifteen snakes in my dorm room. Had I been caught… let’s just say I’d still be paying off the fines.

Rogue-Reptiles focuses primarily on various species of pythons. Our collection is largely composed of pythons from the Morelia complex, with a strong emphasis on Morelia spilota subspecies such as Coastals, Jungles, Irian Jayas, and Darwin carpet pythons. Currently, our collection includes morphs such as Jaguars, Red Jaguars, Tigers, Red Tigers, HCQ Tigers, Tiger Jaguars, High Contrast Queensland carpets, Red Phase Coastals, Striped carpets, Caramels, Hypo, HCQ Jags, Caramel Tigers, Super Caramels, Super Caramel Jags, Granite Irian Jayas, Zebra Jungles, Zebra Jags, Axanthics, Axanthic Jags, and Albinos.

We are also working with Morelia bredli (Bredl’s python) and Morelia carinata (rough-scaled python), and we take pride in sourcing our Morelia from some of the finest bloodlines and breeders in the world. Additionally, we’ve launched a Bothrochilus breeding project, which includes both the golden white-lipped D’Albert’s python and the black-phase hoserae of the white-lipped python. Another favorite project involves the Liasis family, where we are working with Macklott’s pythons, New Guinea water pythons, Dunn’s pythons, and Australian olive pythons. We also maintain two small boa projects featuring Argentine boas, Hog island boas, Brazilian rainbow boas and Dominican Red Mountain boas. With numerous python breeding initiatives underway, we’re excited to see these projects come to life.

In 2011, I began co-hosting the online radio podcast Morelia Python Radio (MPR) with Eric Burke (EB Morelia). The show airs every Tuesday at 9 p.m. and is available on iTunes and other podcast platforms. It’s been an incredible experience, allowing us to connect with breeders around the world and unite the python breeding community in the U.S.

It has been an absolute joy to keep and breed these amazing animals and to meet people across the globe who share our passion. Our mission is to breed these fantastic python species and share them with the reptile community—and we don’t intend to stop anytime soon.
